Produce Music Online

By Mickey Roukeayeal

Are you able to actually make beats online? The rumors are true. Its a fact that technology advances each 18 months. In the last year music production software has changed significantly. There are music production apartments for each budget. There are expensive programs like Reasons and ProTools. There also are inexpensive programs like Sonic Producer.

With the net keyboard you can play melodies and bass lines to help get the groove that you need for your beats. The 8 drum pads help you tap out the beat that you would like with more accuracy. Most standard hardware beat machines have drum pads and Sonic Producer gives you this feature as well so you can have a more natural feel when making beats.

Although Sonic Producer cost less than an expensive meal for two at a Red Lobster, it can set the foundation for a 'hungry' producer to buy all of the meals he wants for the rest of his life.

This program not only has a sequencer, but it comes programmed with an extensive database of sounds for you to select from to make your own beats. As a producer you want industry quality sounds so that people will take you and your music major.

The web interface for Sonic Producer also boasts a keyboard, eight drum pads, and a 16-track volume control. The 16-track volume control is great because you can mix sounds to levels that fit your track. A good mix can change the feel of a beat.

One of the features that Sonic Producer has that Reasons 3.0 has not got is the ability to convert your finished track in to mp3 format and export it. This implies you can download it to your Ipod, burn it to a CD, or perhaps upload it to your MySpace.com page or any site that accepts mp3. You may also create your beat, save them at mp3 files and upload them for sale on sites like Rocbattle.com. .

Singorama Product Review

By Melodee Formosa

Music is one of the many constants in this world, like death and taxes. And just like death and taxes, it is a tricky matter. The music industry has been idealized for the last fifty years. The artists, musicians and singers alike, are glorified in such a manner that almost makes everyone want to be a part of the industry or to be them.

Truth is, there is more to music than the money-making vehicle image being painted by the media. Music is a universal language. It knows no boundaries and race, only heart and stories raring to be expressed and heard. Ever wonder why children are exposed to music at an early age? It is because it helps brain development. Not only that, social and emotional skills are honed.

Unfortunately, music classes are being cut out of the school curriculum across America due to lack of funding. What is your other option if singing is your passion? Self-study is your next resort. The good news is- voice and music lessons abound in your community. The better news is- it is not only limited to human teachers. The best news is- you can avail of singing book guides to help yourself in cultivating your gift or passion.

An example of a book is "Singorama!" "Singorama!" claims to be a complete guide to singing like a professional. A two part program, it comes with a beginner's book and an advanced book. Also, they have included "SINGORAMA! Mini Recording Studio" to train your musical ear and help you with the exercises. Plus, you'll receive a bonus e-book called The Ultimate Guide to Reading Music.

The beginner's book, written by Emily Mander, is about the science and the art of music and singing. It defines what singing is, the history of singing, how the sound is being made and how your body parts affect the way you sing and the quality of your singing voice. The kind of approach used in the beginner's book is ideal for those who really want to take the lessons seriously, for some parts of it can be boring and unnecessary, but surely will give you a better idea of the voice mechanism.

With Singorama, you'll be able to learn the fundamentals of music, you'll be able to define your own singing voice and singing range, you'll be able to get a grasp of the real concept of music and all the jargon of music. Basically, Singorama will teach you the building blocks of singing professionally.

Second good point of this program, the lessons are followed up by exercises with audio tools. The book not only approach the study through theory but through practice as well. For a better understanding of what was discussed in one chapter, you are given the chance to listen to an example. Say, the book just explained how to try the lip roll exercise. There would be a clear step-by-step instruction on how to form your lips and the like. Then, an audio example is given for you to determine if what you are doing is whether right or wrong.

Not only that, Singorama also provides the user a Virtual Piano, to figure out notes and hone singing techniques, and a Mini Recording Studio to review all the efforts.

Singorama has also a great teaching style. Terms used are easy to understand, which makes the commitment to music bearable to anyone who really want to learn to sing. For every musical jargon used, there's also a follow up explanation which makes you feel that you are actually learning from a voice teacher. At the end of each chapter, a summary is written and probable questions that you may wander about are anticipated and talked about throughout the series.

There's only one drawback though. Singorama is too detailed that you might find the other topics unnecessary and boring. Learning how to sing with Singorama actually requires commitment and diligence. So if you're seeing music as a career, the Singorama product is for you. It is made to give you deep analysis of singing and your singing voice.

The fact that Singorama is jam-packed with theories and technicalities of singing, it is what gives your money's worth. So, Singorama is such a good deal. According to Emily Mander, the book is ultimately about you, your singing and your musical future. That adage is true. It will help you find your own singing voice, develop your singing range and keep your own style of singing. - 23812

The Blu-ray Blues

By James Pynn

Before it was the choice between cassette and CD. Then it was VHS or DVD. Now, the great leap forward is Blu-ray. Yeah, you heard right. Blue-ray. It sounds fancy, like its got some kind of special sauce that is going to transform your life and maybe for once, it might be true. For someone who appreciates the hiss and pop of vinyl, it is hard to make the case for any kind of new, improved media format.

Most people embraced the CD. It was sleek, chrome-colored and reminded us of that circular beauty: the LP. The improvement from clunky cassettes was visible. People could see how they cold save space, enjoy the album artwork, and jive to the jumping digital sound. The same jump was evident with VHS to DVD.

The hefty clamor of the VHS tape seemed like some relic from the Fifties when you compared it to the elegance of the DVD. When people can see how a new technology can impact something as simple as the space they can save, they will go for it. The reduction of size and maximizing of space is a great sell. The improved audio and visual experience is icing on the cake.

Hence the problem. This is why the Blu-ray has been a slow sell so far. Its not that the Blu-ray will save you any more space than the DVD. In fact, their dimensions are nearly identical. The proof, in this case, is in the pudding and that makes for a hard sell. You have to rely on word of mouth campaigns to get people interested in updating their entire music and movie catalogue to keep up with the Jones.

Most Blu-ray collections, especially the Disney Blu-ray line, offer superior sound and film playback. It's that simple and the reason why it's so hard to get people moving on them. You have to watch a Blu-ray movie to appreciate the great leap forward in 35mm compression rates and Dolby 5.1 soundtracks. That's the slow build and slow burn of getting onto the Blu-ray bandwagon. Once people see it for themselves, they'll make the leap. - 23812
