Synyster Gates - The Best Modern Guitarist

Brian Elwin Haner was born on the 7th of July better known as Synyster Gates which is his stage name, he is the backup vocalist and the lead guitarist for Avenged Sevenfold, an American heavy metal/hard rock band. After attending 2 different schools in California he later on also attended the Musicians Institute situated in Hollywood. Despite the fact that he did not graduate from this institute, music flowed through his veins. He had taught himself the rudiments of music by reading books and viewing music videos prior to joining Musicians Institute.

Since his father was guitar player and also a songwriter who had played with Frank Zappa, this comes across a surprise. Synyster, who prefers to use Bogner amps and Schecter guitars, received a phone call from The Rev of Avenged Sevenfold and was asked if he was willing to join that group as their lead guitarist this occurred after he attended the Institute for roughly six months. Preferring to pursue the career of a studio musician, Synyster forsake his education and joined Avenged Sevenfold.

He had joined this group towards the end of the year 1999 when he was just 18 years of age. This was immediately before the recording of Avenged Sevenfold's 1st album titled `Sounding the Seventh Trumpet'. Synyster featured on the re-release of the first album of Avenged Sevenfold, and also on their EP, `Warmness of the Soul'. At times, Synyster also plays the piano for certain selected songs. The name Synyster Gates was thought of by The Rev during the course of a drunken drive. A few of his band members assumed that Synyster had often thought himself as too good a player for that type of band, but these allegations are brushed aside by Synyster.

This famous guitarist had also played for Pinkly Smooth, a metal band, along with The Rev. Since they wanted to devote all their time behind Avenged Sevenfold, both of them finally left this group. Synyster Gates has won quite a number of awards like the Total Guitar Magazine's guitarist of the year award in 2006 and also the `Young Shredder' award in 2006. He has also featured in guest appearances in music videos like `The River' (Good Charlotte), and Dirty Little Girl (Burn Halo). Whether or not this stands up to public scrutiny, it does makes for an attractive bullet point on the proverbial PowerPoint presentation that is mass marketing.

The fact that new technological breakthroughs are marketed in terms of revolutions is telling. Each new device requires that it wrap itself in something as violent and encompassing as a revolution to ensure we feel the urgency. What's the rush? Why, the corporate bottom-line of course. Hurry and buy before -- well, before what? If the technology is worthwhile, it should stay on the market. Jeff Beck was born on the 24th of June 1944 is a famous English rock guitarist. Jeff is amongst the three guitarists who happened to play with the Yardbirds. Jeff has managed to gain the 14th position as the "100 Greatest Guitarist of All Time" in the Rolling Stone Magazine and in his musical pieces he has covered genres like heavy metal, blues-rock and jazz fusion. Eddie Van Halen, a Dutch American guitarist, was born on the 26th of January 1955. He also happens to be a producer, keyboardist and songwriter. Eddie's popularity can be best defined as being the co-founder and lead guitarist of Van Halen, a hard rock band. The other members of the band were Halen's brother Alex on drums and Mark Stone as the bassist.
