Although the movie is about relationships, and the unspoken rejections that go along with dating it has the humor and cast for both men and women.

This movie contains some top actors in the field, including Jennifer Aniston, Ben Affleck, and Drew Barrymore, who honestly is an amazing actress. She looks really good in this movie, a little more mature looking, but always with that sweet na-vet that gives her that little girl like charm. Her line about getting rejected in 7 different technologies is just hilarious, as with things changing so much in the dating scene, it is truly possible to be rejected in many different ways, these days.

In addition to humor, making light of awkward situations and heartfelt dating issues, there was an underlying understanding that hit home for many movie goers. Humorous situations were addressed with compassion and understanding, a kind that can only come from someones own real life experiences. All this mixed with the quality of acting made for a movie that you can really get into.

The film is based on a book, by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo. The adaptation of the book onto the big screen was a great way to allow people to laugh at their dating follies, or to just enjoy a romantic comedy that their husbands or boyfriends will not complain about afterwards.

This is the backbone of the plot of Paul Blart: Mall Cop movie. The story revolves around Paul Blart who is the security guard at a shopping mall. The character is played by Kevin James who is remembered for his excellent portrayal of Doug Heffernan in popular sitcom The King of Queens. Paul Blart is attracted by an employee in a shop for hair extensions played by Jayma Mays. He tries his best to woo her but fails to do so. He is portrayed as someone who doesnt find luck in his life and is thus, terribly depressed. A bank robbery gives him a good opportunity to prove his salt and sweep his love off her feet. What follows is the faceoff between the cop and evil bank robbers.

The plot of the film is interesting enough to make the watcher expect much from the film. The handling of story and screenplay proves to be a dampener with the comical scenes not turning out as expected in Paul Blart: Mall Cop Movie. Timing is very essential to comedies but this film lacks it entirely. There are some scenes which evoke laughter but they are few and far between.

The lead actors have given a decent performance but nothing more can be said of that. Kevin James as the main protagonist induces something into this sagging film but couldnt do it properly enough. Jayma Mays role offers very little scope to perform but she has grabbed the little opportunity with both hands and done justice to her role. Steve Carr who is the director has done what he can do but he should have allocated his resources more to the script department. The duo of Kevin James and Nick Bakay who handled the script should have tried rewriting the script in order to do justice to the plot.
