Online Bass Guitar Lessons: Have Fun While Practicing

By Anthony Castille

Whether you have a musical bone in your body or not, being your own teacher on how to play the bass guitar is not impossible since a lot of musicians are self-trained. It is a challenge that requires patience and determination. To help out, here are the reminders before learning to produce music with this stringed instrument.

In playing the bass guitar, one should always take one lesson at a time. Bass playing requires repetition and there's no sense in hurrying the learning process, one should feel the notes through his soul and through his heart and become one with the bass guitar.

Attacking The Strings: The most important part to remember while starting to take slap bass lessons is the amount of intensity used to attack the strings. Now that you know the proper hand positioning and wrist movement you must know how to attack the strings with your thumb.

Beginner bass players should learn these right away to save them years of time, trouble and frustration, but that most often never happens for them. Intermediate bass players have to have some patterns under their belt to even be at an intermediate level, however, they are usually the most frustrated players because they feel like they are getting somewhere with their instrument, but the are so held up with partial information that they can't move beyond where they are at.

Save the beer for in between setlists. Drink water if you're thirsty. If someone offers you a beer just before a setlist, just set it to the side and save it for the next break. Water drinking musicians onstage just look more professional than beer-drinking ones.

NEVER SING if you feel uncomfortable about it. NEVER HARMONIZE if you're not sure what notes to hit with the lead singer. Avoid "falsetto vocals" if at all possible. Falsetto only belongs when you are driving in the car, ALONE, and with your favorite CD playing

Never play in a club where there's a "house soundman." Guaranteed - they will get paid more than the band, in most cases, and the probably have a standard sound for all the basses, without knowing your playing style. He probably eq your bass with an insane volume range.

A tooth-loosening, earth shattering bass sound is attainable at the home studio level through two highly effective recording methods: by micing the bass amp with a quality signal chain, using a direct injection box to go straight to the board/input, or both! - 23812

Discover The Easy Way To Burn DVD movies!

By Sam Lockwood

We often read emails from readers inquiring if there's a way to burn DVDs, so in this article we're gonna cover exactly this. As you may already know, you can't rely on music cd burning program like Roxio or Nero to copy all your movies, so today we will cover exactly what is needed.

The programs that you usually utilize to copy a music CD typically aren't able to copy DVDs. The reason for this is that most DVDs have a form of copyright protection on the disc. Because of these guards, your computer isn't able to recognize the DVD disc.

To bypass this problem you just have to find a technologically advanced DVD copying software. When you get the right program, it's easy to produce a backup of any DVD you choose.

The copyright blocks that are present on DVD movies can be skipped over by certain technologically advanced programs. Your system is then able to understand the data on the disc and make a duplicate since the program can skip over the protections on the DVD.

So you know, almost all DVD movies are produced on 8 gigabyte DVD discs. Yet most blank DVDs in the stores are just about 5 Gigabytes. Not to worry though though - the best DVD copying computer programs will be able to condense the data so that it will fit on the smaller disc. You can buy bigger blank DVDs, but they're a lot more expensive, so this feature is a great one to look for in a DVD burning program.

There's a number of DVD burning software packages you can find, but try to find one that gives you updates. The reason for looking into this is that at times new copyright protections are developed and the computer software has to be updated so that your computer can get past any new protections. The better DVD burning computer programs will offer this feature to you.

Anytime I buy any type of computer software I like to be offered a moneyback guarantee with my purchase. This is simply to give you an alternative on the offchance that the software package doesn't work properly on your PC.

If you're a movie fan, owning a DVD burning software is wonderful. You'll have the option to produce backup copies of any movie you want. Once it's setup on your PC, you can burn any movie you wish on your PC. I have to go - it's movie time! - 23812

The Mystery of Edwin Drood: A seemingly honorable English choirmaster (Pours) is essentially accountable for a terrible murder. Clive, and Valerie Hobson. (87 minutes, 1935)

Alfredo Alfredo: All too normal Italian comedy in regards to a milque toast who triumphs and weds a seductive female, only to remorse his conquest. Cast includes Dustin Hoffman, Stefania Sandrelli, Carla Gravina, Clara Colosimo, Daniele Patella, and Duilio Del Prete. (98 minutes, 1972)

Murderous Maids: A new take on the infamous 1933 murder case that rocked most of France. Christine Papin (Testud) and her younger sibling Lea, like their mommy before them, work as house maids. BlackBerry Curve 8900: The Universal Cell Phone

By Allen F. Baker

For years BlackBerry phones have only appealed to one type of consumer. With their vast business applications BlackBerry phones have always been an invaluable tool to anyone working for a large company or in a business setting. With such a specific target audience BlackBerry phones needed a way to reach more people. The new RIM BlackBerry Curve 8900 makes that possible. The Curve 8900 takes what BlackBerry phones have been good at and completely revamps it for a new younger media centered audience. This phone will make a great device for business people as well as anyone else looking for an amazing phone with media streaming functionalities.

The RIM BlackBerry Curve 8900 has enhanced the look and design from previous installments. To date it is the thinnest BlackBerry phone with a full QWERTY keypad. When compared to the bulkier thicker phones out there the Curve 8900 is an obvious step in the right direction. The phone also has a more modernized look which is another improvement. In the past BlackBerry phones werent that fashionable, but this new Curve is very presentable with its finely applied paints and finishes. The screens size isnt much to write home about but the color display is simply beautiful. Colors, images, videos, etc will appear very colorful, sharp, and vibrant. The Curve 8900 is also smaller that all over BlackBerry phones before it. Amazingly typing on the keyboard doesnt suffer from the small size. The keys are still spaced well enough apart and are very tactile to the touch because they are raised.

Available from the get go is the DataViz application. With this application you are able to edit Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents. While this was achievable in previous BlackBerry phones one had to download an app for it first. One of the biggest additions on this BlackBerry is the improved web browsing. The Curve 8900 supports full HTML web browser. This new and improved browser allows its user to surf the web quicker and even stream media such as YouTube clips and downloading music. While the Wi-Fi works well the phone suffers from its lack of 3G support.

The camera found on the Curve 8900 was clearly improved on. The Curve features a 3.2-megapixel lens which is vastly improved over the previous 2 megapixels found on other BlackBerry phones. The picture quality was good but be wary of taking photos in dark areas. The camera can even record video. Similarly the video quality was decent but it was rather grainy.

The phone performed very well under various tests. The phones microphone does an adequate job of isolating ones voice and prevents any background noise from interrupting the call. The speakerphone worked well also. Callers will sound loud enough through the speakerphone.

BlackBerry has finally released a phone that the general public can enjoy. In the past BlackBerry phones have generally only been suitable for business people. But the RIM BlackBerry Curve 8900 is a phone everyone can enjoy. - 23812
