The Hindenburg: Enthralling premise, that 1937 airship catastrophe was an act of undermine, un-denied by stupid Grand Hotel-type characters and dull denouement combining primordial newsreel footage and recently shot material. The Fabulous Baker Boys: 2 brothers' for 15 year partnership as a double-piano nightclub lounge act is rattled by the addition of a feisty (and seductive) singer, who kindles changes in their act, and their relation. Author Kloves' prompting debut is trendy and self assured, with some awesome scenes and set pieces, although it skimps on tale-and by no means seriously fleshes out Jeff Bridges' morose personality. The Bridges brothers are impeccably cast, Pfeiffer is superlative. Her misty rendition of "Makin' Whoopee", although piano pondered a little, is classic. Cast includes Jeff Bridges, Michelle Pfeiffer, Dude Bridges, Ellie Raab, and Jennifer Tilly. (113 minutes, 1989)

The Prime Gig: Victorious telemarketer Vaughn is enlisted by Harris for his boiler-room operation and gets to be romantically engaged with Ormond. Your XBOX 360 Game Console

By Daniel Thompson

Along with two of their gaming console competitors, Nintendo and Sony, Microsoft was attempting to dominate the market while attracting new customers all the time. As the competition between the three got ever more heated, Microsoft launched their Xbox 360 that became available for purchase at the end of ?05.

In response Microsoft?s two main competitors also launched their own consoles to rival with the Xbox 360 that had basically built on to the original Xbox making use of the same powerful gaming engine. Game developers can now produce games that keep players entertained for untold hours with the excellent graphics and fascinating realism. Because of the newer console the Xbox 360 has taken gaming to a new level. Despite the launch of the new consoles by Nintendo and Sony, the Xbox 360 continues to ride the wave of success by generating new sales every day, both for the console itself as well as the games.

When Microsoft developed and released their entry version called the Core, it went on sale for four hundred dollars. It was followed by the next version, Arcade, which encountered a few problems here and there. Following that version came the Pro which came equipped with a hard drive as well. But Microsoft has not been idle and has continually striven to improve their consoles by not only increasing capacity but also by upgrading the hardware, which has resulted in the elimination of both heating and noise problems.

Finished in matte black and coming with a headset to match is the latest and most costly of the Xbox 360 range and it is called the Elite. With a host of features that include a 120 GB hard drive as well as its own HDMI 1.2 cable that enables games to be played in full 1080p, the Xbox 360 continues to be a fierce competitor. For people who own the older consoles that did not come with their own cables the only option is to purchase one, although they are rather pricey.

Older consoles can also play the games available for the Xbox 360, so you will not be left out. A composite cable accompanies every configuration allowing standard play as well as a month long Gold trial, Silver Xbox Live membership so that you can also experience online gaming which is growing in popularity.

On the hardware side, the XBOX 360 houses a Tri-Core CPU called Xenon which was developed by IBM and is clocked at 3.2 GHz. Microsoft also takes a turn and uses an ATI chip called Xenos instead of one by NVIDIA which was used for the original XBOX. The GPU has a speed of 500 MHz and comes with a heat sink to keep it cool. It has 512 MB GDDR3 RAM with 700 MHz speed and has a transmission rate of 1.4 GHz on its 128-bus. All of these features combined back up the sheer power that the system gives to the games.

The Xbox 360 can also play CDs and DVDs besides games, which, thanks to the way they are formatted can fit on one single disc. This all serves to make the Xbox 360 very useful indeed. Microsoft no longer includes the external HD-DVD because it was discontinued.

Another great feature is that many Xbox 360 games are also computer compatible. Not only serious gamers will appreciate the Xbox 360, even more casual gamers will as well, while they both enjoy increasing their own gaming library. - 23812

Wii Buying Tips

By Thomas Blake

There are many different game consoles out there, but none of them can come close either in terms of game play or in popularity to the Nintendo Wii. A blockbuster from the day of its release, the Wii features innovative and interactive controls which have made it a lasting hit. However, this means that it can be difficult to find a Wii console around the holiday season, as shoppers throng to shops to find a console for the people on their list.

Wii consoles tend to sell out every Christmas season; they seem to have a lasting appeal. This is great for Nintendo, but not nearly as good for the many parents who are left empty handed at the holidays when their children are dreaming of a new Wii console. Here are a few Wii buying tips which can help you to get your hands on one of these amazingly popular game consoles.

One rule of thumb I discovered over the years on buying any game console for Christmas holds true today with the Wii. Do not wait until the last minute for looking for one in stock. Hopefully, your child will let you know in the summer that they want a Wii for Christmas. If they do, you are lucky; this gives you months of time to look and watch for who has the game console in stock.

Visit or call your local electronics and game stores to find out if they can call you when they get more Wii consoles in. If they do not provide this service, then ask when they typically receive new stock and check back on these days. This approach can help you buy a Wii even when stocks are low elsewhere.

Online shops are usually willing to email you when an out of stock item becomes available again. You can also make a habit of checking in often with online stores, you may get lucky and spot a Wii console before someone else does!

Another idea is to let friends and family know that you're searching for a Wii. Especially in the holiday season when everyone will be shopping, this is a good strategy. If someone sees a Wii, have them call you and if possible, even pick it up for you.

Something you should not do is pay too much for a Wii console. You can often find Wii consoles on eBay and other online auction sites, but in many cases they are being sold for outrageous prices. While you do want to get a Wii, you don't want to wind up paying twice the normal price for one!

Hopefully, these suggestions for shopping for this game system will pay off for you. If you shop early, get on waiting or notify lists, network with friends, and don't fall for EBay schemes; you can find a Wii at a good price and in stock in time for Christmas! Of course if you are not looking for it for a Christmas present you can find one easier in other parts of the year. - 23812
