Sudden Death: Sarcastic mastermind Boothe keeps the Vice President captive in a secluded box throughout Stanley Cup hockey playoffs in Pittsburgh, requesting a few billion dollars, or he'll blow up the entire stadium. However fire inspector Van Damme is on the job and Boothe has foolishly seized our idol's baby girl. Cast includes Jean-Claude Van Darnme, Powers Boothe, Raymond J. Barry, Whittni Wright, Ross Malinger, Dorian Harewood, and Paul Mochnick. (110 minutes, 1995)

One Woman or Two: Paleontologist Depardieu finds the fossil thought to be of the first Frenchwoman. Crass advert exec Weaver is planning on capitalizing on this to sell fragrance. Cast includes Gerard Depardieu, Sigourney Weaver, Dr. Ruth Westheimer, Michel Aurnont, and Zabou. (97 minutes, 1985)

Kingdom of Heaven: A blacksmith, reeling from personal catastrophe, is influenced to join the Crusades by an illustrious knight, who says he is the youthful gentleman's dad. The new knight shows his mettle by demonstrating himself a man of the people who battles to accomplish harmony between the Muslims and the Christians when guarding Jerusalem. Impressive, mythical film manages to find nobility in the Crusades, although by no means loses sight of its core personality's personal voyage. Cast includes Orlando Bloom, Limn Neeson, Eva Green, Jeremy Irons, David Thewlis, Brendan Gleeson, Marton Csokas, Ghassan Massoud, Edward Norton, and Jon Finch. (145 minutes, 2005)

Dragonfly: An ER doctor, mourning for his lifeless spouse, acquires a succession of signals from her-containing messages from youthful subjects who've had near-death experiences. What do they mean? More drawn out than it needs to be, although a captivating and abnormal tale of one guy's metaphysical odyssey. Cast includes Kevin Costner, Kathy Bates, Joe Morton, Ron Rifkin, Linda Seek, Susanna Thompson, Jacob Vargas, Jay Thomas, and Matt Craven. (103 minutes, 2002)

Lust for Life: This is a bright adaptation of Irving Rock's biography of painter Van Gogh, vividly depicting his anguished life. Quinn captured a well-warranted 'Oscar for his performance as painter-Guy Gauguin, in this attractive color production. Cast includes Kirk Douglas, Anthony Quinn, James Donald, Pamela Brown, Everett Sloane, Niall MacGinnis, Noel Purcell, Henry Daniell, Jill Bennett, Lionel Jeffries, and Eric Pohlmann. (122 minutes, 1956)

Play it as it Lays: Film rendition of Joan Didion's best-seller in reference to the neglected spouse of a selfish film director is helped by Weld and Perkins. Cast includes Tuesday Weld, Anthony Perkins, Tammy Dirties, Adam Roarke, Ruth Ford, and Eddie Firestone. (100 minutes, 1984)

Airmail: Daring tale of pioneer airmail guides supercharged by fine aerial scenes and excellent cast. A first rate film. Cast includes Pat O'Brien, Ralph Bellamy, Russell Hopton, Thin Summerville, Frank Albertson, and Gloria Stuart. (83 minutes, 1932)

Foxtrot: O'Toole and his spouse escape Rumania in the late 1930s and shelter on an island heaven to hide from a planet getting ready to explode into battle. Shallow, unsurprising drama; filmed in Mexico. Cast includes Peter O'Toole, Charlotte Rampling, Max von Sydow, Jorge Luke, Helen Rojo, and Claudio Brook. (91 minutes, 1976)
