My Selection Of Short Movie Plot Lines
For years now, the video store was the way to get movies. You can now save a trip to the video store and download movies right off the internet. You will find just about any movie you want with a good movie download site. below is a small sample.
Edward: Trenchant if unnecessarily vicious adaptation of the Christopher Marlowe play, written in 1592, in reference to the demise of the frankly gay British queen who denies his empress for a man lover. Regardless of 14th century setting, some characters wear modern-day clothes, and film works relatively well as a condemnation of 20th century gay-slamming. Not for all tastes, however by no means boring. Lennox, previously of the Eurythmics, appears in one scene harmonizing Cole Porter's "Every Time We Affirm Farewell. Cast includes Steven Waddington, Kevin Collins, Andrew Tieman, John Lynch, Dudley Sutton, Tilda Swinton, Nigel Terry, and Annie Lennox. (91 minutes, 1991)
Young Dr. Benjamin Stone is on his way to L.A. where his dream job as a plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills awaits him. Trying to avoid a traffic jam he winds up off the beaten path in the small town of Grady, where he winds up crashing his car. To make things worse, it was into the town judge's fence that he crashed. Ben's sentence is 32 hours of community service at the town hospital. Serving his time, he starts to enjoy the work, and finds himself falling in love.
8 Percent Women: While a triumphant businessman is widowed, his child tries to help him through his misery by taking him on a sensual odyssey. The females range from a prior nun Collette to a horsewoman/pig fancier Plummer who wears a weird see through harness. Copious man and lady nudity couldn't keep this from being a massive bore. Cast includes John Sitting, Matthew Delamere, Vivian Wu, Shizuka lnoh, Barbara Sarafian, Manna Fujiwara, and Polly Stroller.(121 minutes, 1999)
Saw V: The Jigsaw puppet lives on. Now Mark Hoffman, a Jigsaw apprentice is carrying on the tradition after Jigsaw was killed. He has drawn Detective Strahm into a trap. Can the FBI man survive this test?
Night of the Demons: On Halloween day, wouldn't you know it some common adolescents pick the wrong acquired mortuary to reception in. Everything in reference to this amateurish film is unnecessary, containing the film itself. Excellent makeup, albeit particularly the prosthetics on Quigley. Cast includes Cathy Podewell, Alvin Alexis, William Gallo, Mimi Kinkade, Linnea Quigley, and Spear Fenton. (89 minutes, 1987)
Flatliners: A group of five medical students start imagining experiencing life after death. One by one, under controlled conditions, they die, and then bring themselves back to life. No one is prepared for the side effects the experience causes them all.
The Man in the Moon: Ingratiatingly old-styled weeper set in rural Louisiana in 1957, in reference to a l4-year-old gal in love with an older boy, who in turn favors her college-confined sister. Newcomer Witherspoon is vivid as the younger sister more early teenage lightning for controller Mulligan, who guided T Kill a Mockingbird. Pleasantly shot by Freddie Francis. Waterston has some powerful scenes as the gals' dad. Cast includes Sam Waterston, Tess Harper, Gail Strickland, Reese Witherspoon, Jason London, and Ernie Energetic. (99 minutes, 1991)
The Iron Giant: Striking and primordial excited characteristic mildly teases 1950s paranoia and sci-fi films, as a boy befriends a large robotic being from outer space. That author-controller Fowl and his animators might bring such sensation to a metallic personality is just one of this film's glories. Cast includes Harry Connick, Jr., Van Diesel, Christopher McDonald, James Gammon, Cloris Leachman, and John Mahoney. (86 minutes, 1999)
No Minor Vices: Arrogant comedy in which stereotypically offbeat performer Jordan tries to materialize between pediatrician Andrews and spouse Palmer. Starts off well however slows down. Cast includes Lewis Milestone, Dana Andrews, Lilly Palmer, Louis Jordan, Jane Wyatt, Bernard Gorcey, and Man Bridges. (96 minutes, 1948)
