Fine visual effects and suspenseful tale in space harmed by world pranks of poor boy Boyle who preposterously desires to undermine the mission. Cast includes Tim Matheson, Charlton Heston, Peter Boyle, and Annabel Schofield. (112 minutes, 1990)
Mrs. Brown: Gratifying drama set in the 1860s. Monarch Victoria Bench has been in grieving for years, following the mortality of her cherished spouse Albert; living in Windsor Castle, away from London and communal life, she only comes out of her shell while her spouse's believed Highland rider, John Brown Connolly, declines to pamper her. An irregular relation creates between the 2-much to the consternation of everyone else on the Empress's staff. Prosperously detailed, with 2 splendid behaviors at the forefront; Sher is additionally impressive as the bewildered Benjamin Disraeli.
