Pretty Woman - A coincidental meeting of a street hooker and a callous and incredibly well-to-do businessman leads to a unique proposition. He employs her for the week, to attend some functions with him as an escort. He has no clue what he has gotten himself into. Starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere.
Frequency - John Sullivan lost his dad thirty years back. He is still affected by the loss. Somehow with the use of his dad's old ham radio, he can correspond with his dad, when his dad was still living. He warns his father of the fire that would kill him. This saves his dad but sets off new events that now must be resolved, or John's mom will now die.
Sugar Town - Enjoyable mosaic of LA life characterizing a handful of characters whose lives unite - a musician would-be who'll do anything to get ahead, an uptight lone woman who allures the inappropriate men like a magnet, and a band made up of cleaned-up '80s rock stars, to name a few. Made on a shoestring, although sharp and well recognized; superb cast comprises a variety of real life musicians. Cast includes Ally Sheedy, Rosanna Arquette, John Taylor, Jade Gordon, Michael Des Barres, Lucinda Jenney, and Martin Kemp. 92 minutes, 1999.
Above the Law - This is Steven Segal's breakout movie. He plays a Chicago Cop who takes matters into his own hands. As the title implies, he is 'above the law'. He uses his large body and martial arts skills to wreak mayhem on the bad guys. Stars include Steven Segal, Pam Grier, and Sharon Stone. 1988 Action.
Faces - Very personal drama in regards to numerous infidelities is one of the few Cassel motion pictures to become a big hit. Here is a commanding motion picture with awesome action, particularly by Carlin and Cassel.
