Although ballet is thought to be a girl' dance with many students starting in their early ages, there are also many men that prefer this dance. Ballet has the ability of enhancing the stamina and balance center of the body. Ballet can ensure that the lines of the body are well developed and are useful for those that want to make dance a full time sport.

One form of dance that is becoming quite popular is the Bollywood dance form that originated from the Indian subcontinent. This dance form has become very popular all over the world on account of the fact that there are many song and dance sequences in such Indian films. This dance form is very popular and so beginners opt for it as it is entertaining and easy to learn. Such Bollywood dancing has become very popular on account of the fact that television shows such as Dance India Dance has come to the forefront. The first season of this show saw Salman Khan thrilling audiences with his wonderful dance steps. This 23 year old youth was finally declared the winner in front of over 10,000 people in Mumbai. Salman says that joining this reality show was one of the best things he has ever done in his life.

Apart from Bollywood, there are many other dance forms that people try to get acquainted with. One such form is Salsa. Having a variety of salsa forms such as the LA style, the Cuban style and the American style make this dance very popular. Of course it is mainly the younger generation that prefers such a form as there are many twists and drops that can fascinate onlookers.
