Alias Nick Beal: Allegory of Devil (Milland) corrupting truthful congressmen Mitchell with the help of trollop Stumble. This is a fascinating drama with an unusually wicked Milland. (93 minutes, 1949) Cast includes Ray Milland, Audrey Stumble, Thomas Mitchell, George Macready, and Fred Clark.

All about Eve: Brilliantly advanced (and skeptical) look at life in and around the show, with a mecca script by director Mankiewicz (based on the tale "The Knowledge of Eve" by Mary Orr). Davis is positively on point as an aging megastar that takes in a loving fan (Baxter) and eventually finds that the youthful lady is taking over her life. Cast includes Bette Davis, Anne Baxter, George Sanders, Celeste Holm, Gary Merrill, Thelma Ritter, Marilyn Monroe, Hugh Marlowe, and Gregory Ratoff. (138 minutes, 1950)

The Great Locomotion Chase: Real tale of Andrews' Raiders (filmed before by Buster Keaton as The General) comes to life in this vibrant Disney film. Parker is renowned Union detective who leads a rowdy band in seizing and "abducting" a Confederate railroad. Cast includes Fess Parker, Jeffrey Hunter, Jeff York, John Lupton, Eddie Firestone, and Kenneth Tobey. (55 minutes, 1956)

Edward My Son: Well acted however talky, stagy drama in which brash, rags-to-riches Tracy coddles his child, hoping to inject within him a sense of accountability. Cast includes Spencer Tracy, Deborah Kerr, Ian Hunter, James Donald, Mervyn Johns, qnd Felix Aylmer. (112 minutes, 1949)

Stamboul Quest: Exotic amalgamation of romance and intrigue with German agent Loy finding that he is in love with American scholar Brent in WWI Turkey. Herman Mankiewicz's script is based on a real tale. Cast includes Myrna Loy, George Brent, Lionel Atwill, C. Hemy Gordon, and Mischa Auer. (88 minutes, 1934)

Sidewalk Stories: Alluring, Chaplinesque fantasy that, in its own humble way, boldly remarks on the plight of the destitute in America. Aisle stars as a destitute gentleman battling for existence on the roads of Greenwich Village who finds himself caring for a small child whose father has been stabbed by robbers. Cast includes Charles Aisle, Nicole Alysia, Sandye Wilson, Darnell Williams, and Trula Hoosier. (97 minutes, 1989)

Chicago Ten: Exclusive documentary approach to the tumultuous occurrences of 1968 while drastic groups accrued in Chicago to dispute the status quo, and the battle in Vietnam, throughout the Democratic Nationwide Convention balanced with excited renderings of the trial and its trouble makers (taken verbatim from court transcripts), which became the show of the ridiculous.
