Seeing Joel McHale's Comedy Show

By Jillian Mackay

If you've been considering heading out to see a Joel McHale comedy show then you probably would like to know what you can expect from his routines. This article will go over his typical routine at his show.

Lets start by saying that Joel McHale isnt a typical comedian (hes an actor) but that doesnt stop him from being very funny. His humor is very similar to what you get on The Soup " witty, sarcastic and makes fun of very bad television " all of which is spiced up with Joels great skill at timing and delivery, and of course those facial expressions of his. Just a raise of an eyebrow is enough to make some of his jokes even funnier.

Of course he isnt the first thing you see when you are seated and the lights go down, the first act is usually a local comedian who comes out to warm up the crowd before McHale steps on stage as the headline act.

His routine is very energetic and lively and he gives it his all in every show " fans wont be disappointed.

The first part of his routine is very in keeping with The Soup style of humor of bashing and making fun of celebrites and bad television. Ryan Seacrest jokes are prominent since that is what McHale is well known for, as well as other celebrites that have been on the show.

You'll find out more about Joel McHale and his family in the second half of his routine as he pokes fun at his parents, wife and kids and relatives and we learn that his witty and funny side isn't just reserved for in front of the camera.

We get to find out that Joel is quite handy at craft as he makes his son's Halloween costume, that his grandmother watches The Soup even though she doesn't think it's funny and how his wife and him have a running joke about bees.

It's a true testament to Joel's delivery and timing that he can make such personal and honest stories so damn funny. You'll be laughing at things that his son does, and you'll relate to his parent's mishaps.

At the end of the show Joel also makes time to meet with fans and sign t-shirts and autographs which proves how down to earth and personable he really is.

The comedy show is currently travelling around America but he was also recently in Australia to perform for his Australian fans. - 23812
